The journey begins in the heart of the retreat: a game room wrapped in dark-paneled walls and crowned with wood beams beneath vaulted ceilings. It feels indulgent yet inviting, a moody cocoon where evenings stretch long. A custom walnut table gleams in the bar and game nook, set for rounds of chess, card games, or mahjong. Brushed brass accents and soapstone countertops add richness, but what lingers most is the atmosphere—chic yet approachable, a place where family and friends naturally gather.
Beyond the games, the living spaces unfold into comfort made luxurious. Plush seating is arranged to encourage conversation, laughter, and togetherness. The layout is purposeful, designed as much for watching the big game as for quiet evenings by the fire. Here, Dallas luxury design comes alive not in opulence, but in the harmony of textures, tones, and proportions that make the space both beautiful and livable.
And then, in a sunlit corner, the mood shifts. The children’s nook bursts forth with color and creativity, softening the dramatic palette of the home with a joyful spirit. Books line the shelves, playful textiles invite exploration, and natural light fills the room with warmth. This space—crafted with equal measures of imagination and intention—earned the 2024 PaperCity Design Award, a recognition that underscores the project’s success in balancing elevated design with approachable family living.
