Under Construction: A Peek Behind the Scenes

There’s something especially exciting about the construction phase of a project. It’s the in-between, where vision meets framing, where sketches become millwork, and where layers of thoughtful detail begin to take shape. We’re currently deep in the transformation of three very different homes, and we’re thrilled to share a behind-the-scenes look at what’s coming together…

The Anti-Flip
Historic Tudor Revival | Fort Worth

This full renovation of a 100-year-old home in a historic Fort Worth neighborhood is what we lovingly call our “anti-flip.”

Rather than stripping the home of its character and replacing it with something overly trendy, we’re doing the opposite. The exterior’s classic Tudor style is guiding every decision we make inside. The goal is to create an interior that feels original to the home as though it has always been there just refreshed for modern living.

We’ve reworked the floor plan to be more open and functional while respecting the home’s architectural integrity. The kitchen is being expanded into a more spacious, hardworking hub with custom cabinetry and thoughtfully integrated storage solutions. Throughout the house, we’re adding new built-ins, custom millwork, and cabinetry designed specifically for the home’s scale and proportions.

One of our favorite details to date is maintaining some of the original cabinet door patterns but crafting them in new wood with exposed hinges, a small touch that preserves history while elevating craftsmanship. Every corner is an opportunity to layer in historically inspired charm, timeless finishes, intentional hardware, and architectural details that feel rooted in the past yet livable for today!

This project is proof that honoring history can feel fresh, warm, and deeply personal

The Falcon Project
Modern + Earthy | 3 Acres of Possibility

Set on a stunning three-acre lot, the Falcon Project is a modern home infused with earthy warmth and architectural intention. We’re collaborating with Aaron Wallrath (who we absolutely love working with) to bring this vision to life.

The design leans modern, but not cold. Think rich walnut tones, warm natural stone throughout the home, and carefully considered lighting that shapes the architecture itself. We partnered with Visual Comfort for architectural products and lighting design, allowing us to integrate lighting seamlessly into the structure of the home.

One standout feature: rounded, organic coffered ceilings with integrated cove lighting in the primary bedroom. Instead of relying on can lights, these architectural coffers will glow from within, creating a soft, ambient atmosphere. The result is subtle, immersive, and incredibly calming.

Throughout the home, lighting isn’t an afterthought, it’s an architectural element. Every detail is intentional, from the curves to the materials, creating a modern home that feels grounded, layered, and deeply connected to its surroundings.

Mid-Century Reno
Terrazzo Dreams and Colorful Schemes| Dallas

This mid-century project is a full home renovation that celebrates mid-century design while confidently updating it.

We’re preserving some of the home’s most iconic elements, including the existing terrazzo flooring in the living room, which grounds the space in authentic mid-century character. From there, we’re layering in rich wood tones, vibrant colors, and plenty of flair.

This home will be full of personality, just like its owners.

Custom light fixtures are playing a major role in shaping the mood and adding sculptural interest throughout the home. The mix of materials and color will give the finished space depth and warmth while staying true to its roots.

Currently in the framing stage, this project is beginning to reveal its new layout and flow. We’re refining spaces to better suit modern life while keeping the soul of the original design intact which is a careful balance of preservation and evolution.

More to Come

Each of these homes reflects a different design language: historic revival, mid-century personality, and modern organic.  However, they share one thing in common and that is thoughtful intention.

We can’t wait to show you more as these projects move from framing and millwork to finishes and furnishings. Stay tuned for progress updates and final reveals in the months ahead!

As always, thank you for following along and trusting us with the spaces that matter most.
